Peter Myers Endowed Scholarship
Peter Myers tragically died in 1972, prior to graduating with his class in June 1973. Born on an Air Force base outside of Tampa, he then lived in Sweden, England and Puerto Rico until settling in New Canaan while in elementary school. He spent the majority of his life in New Canaan and his parents Tom and Birgit remain current residents. He was a good student who loved sports and spending time with his friends. He excelled at soccer but also enjoyed lacrosse and baseball.
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide a continuing incentive to young men to excel to the best of their ability in both scholarship and athletics. Individual development, improvement, and attitude in scholarship and athletics will be considered as important factors in selecting the recipient.
