Kelsey Durkin Endowed Scholarship

Kelsey Durkin was a New Canaan High School Graduate of the Class of 2010 whose life was tragically cut short by a drunk driver while she was a student at Washington and Lee University.  She graduated with honors from New Canaan High School as a member of the National Honor Society. She was also the recipient of the Team Jim Scholarship that year. As a senior defenseman for the New Canaan ice hockey team, they won both state and county titles in 2010, bringing their total state title wins to three for her high school career. She also won county and state titles in 2010 as a senior defender for the New Canaan soccer team.  Kelsey was compassionate, effervescent and giving to everyone that she met and knew, always there for a friend in need. Her family hopes that her story reminds others of the perils of drinking and driving.  Her life was far too short.
