Named Scholarships

In addition to our general scholarship fund, donors are now able to create Named Scholarships, funded annually or by endowment, established in honor, name or memory of an individual, group, organization or business.  (i.e. The Bill Smith Family Award). These are tax-deductible donations, funded annually. 

 

• Minimum of $1000/year for four years.

CREATE YOUR OWN NAMED AWARD:
Create an award in your family’s name, business name, or a name of your choice. Last year, the Cioffi family created a scholarship which honors a student who helps others, specifically those with special needs.

HONOR A TEACHER: 

In 2017, the Ben Young Endowed Scholarship was created by a Saxe Middle School family in honor of Ben and the positive impact he has made on so many of his students.
 

REMEMBER A LOVED ONE: Create an award in honor of a family member, friend or associate who has a special connection to New Canaan.

Named Endowed Award

​

• Tax-deductible funds or gifts totaling $22,500 or more, designed to last in perpetuity or for a designated period of time.

• Based on the results of our investment portfolio these awards are credited with an allocated return annually. It is the intent of this award to generate a $1,000 scholarship annually.
